The concept of a Western Interconnection Efficiency Team was established at the December 20, 2000 Denver Emergency Electricity meeting. The Team is to provide an initital effort to develop strategies by January 28 to implement Step 3 of the five "Proposed Action Steps" regarding energy conservation. The five action steps were also developed at the Denver meeting.

Proposed members of the Efficiency Team include:
