WECC Board of Directors meeting

Tuesday, October 19, 2004

1:00 p.m. Joint WIEB/CREPC Workshop on Western Natural Gas Adequacy Study

In April, the WIEB Board of Directors agreed to collaborate with the California Energy Commission in an analysis of the adequacy of the natural gas infrastructure in the West to support gas-fired electric generating plants. This is one element of the analysis of resource adequacy requested by Western Governors that is not being addressed by WECC or CREPC’s West-Wide Resource Assessment Team.  Details of the modeling effort will be presented and important issues for further analysis will be identified.
