The Western Interstate Energy Board, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Energy, is evaluating the feasibility of a hybrid wind/advanced coal generation concept in the Western Interconnection. The study is supported by an analytic team comprised of participants from the National Energy Technology Laboratory, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. A diverse steering committee is providing guidance for the project. |
