North American Energy Summit Kicks off with Proposed Clean Energy Initiative, CBM Best Management Practices Handbook -- Gov. Bill Richardson, Chairman of the Western Governors’ Association, and Gov. Bill Owens, WGA Vice Chairman, kicked off the North American Energy Summit today with announcements of a clean-energy initiative and best practices handbook for coal bed methane development.

WGA report cites energy efficiency measures critical to meeting energy demand along the U.S. – Mexico border -- It is critical that energy efficiency measures be implemented along the U.S.-Mexico border to meet growing demands that cannot be addressed in the time it takes to build new generating capacity, according to a new Western Governors’ Association report.
