Regional and National Organizations
NASEO
NASEO is composed of officials from state and territorial energy offices with an expressed goal of improving the effectiveness and quality of state energy programs and policies.
NCSL
NCSL is a bipartisan organization that serves the legislators and staffs of the nation's 50 states, its commonwealths and territories. NCSL provides research, technical assistance and opportunities for policymakers to exchange ideas on the most pressing state issues.
NWPCC
The Northwest Power and Conservation Council develops and maintains a regional power plan and a fish and wildlife program to balance the Northwest's environment and energy needs.
WECC
The Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) was formed on April 18, 2002 and encompasses a vast area of nearly 1.8 million square miles. WECC's interconnection-wide focus is intended to complement current efforts to form Regional Transmission Organizations (RTO) in various parts of the West. WECC is responsible for coordinating and promoting electric system reliability as well as encouraging the development of efficient and transparent markets.
