Clean and Diversified Energy Reports

CDEAC
The Clean and Diversified Energy Committee (CDEAC) consisted of 31 members that represented a wide range of interests from WGA member states and provinces. The CDEAC was charged with the task of identifying incentive-based, non-mandatory recommendations that would facilitate 30,000 megawatts of new clean and diverse energy by 2015, a 20 percent increase in energy efficiency by 2020 and adequate transmission for the region. With the help of its task forces, white paper authors, and public comments, the CDEAC presented its report to the Western Governors at their 2006 Annual Meeting in Sedona, AZ. The Governors adopted a policy resolution that incorporated many of these recommendations.

The following submissions concern clean energy issues that go beyond the scope of the task forces chartered by the CDEAC.  Nonetheless, the CDEAC believes that these issues provide value in meeting the clean energy goals of the Western Governors and that they should be considered directly by the CDEAC in developing their final recommendations. The following white papers were submitted for 30 days of public comment and have been presented to the CDEAC..

Additional Papers
The following paper was presented to the CDEAC at their March 7 meeting for consideration. The document was not submitted for public comment and will be considered by the CDEAC for informational purposes only.
