The Western Governors’ Association recently hosted its 2017 Winter Meeting December 1-2 in Arizona, and C-SPAN recorded the opening day sessions. The recordings include:  

U.S. Forest Service Chief Tony Tooke spoke about the agency’s collaboration with states and local governments to ensure the best management of forests. The remarks were followed by the roundtable, Preparing Infrastructure for Natural Disasters, moderated by Idaho Gov. Butch Otter. Panelists: Jeffrey R. Pillon, National Association of State Energy Officials; Bruce Hallin, Salt River Project; Lee dePalo, Regional Administrator for FEMA Region VIII. Watch.  

The Changing Face of the West” roundtable focused on how technology and other developments have changed the people, jobs, and cities of the region over the past quarter century. Moderated by Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, panelists included: Richard Fry, Pew Research Center; Ryan Harkins, Microsoft; Timothy D. Hodges, Gallup. Watch.
